First and foremost i want to say Thank You Jesus! We are back home. We have been away for the last 4 years. This year in Feb I had some family come out and visit. When they left I just got so so home sick. Every time i would talk on the phone everyone would tell me about the Revival that they are having with Rev. Cody Marks. I asked my mother to buy me some of the preaching Cd's. When I got them oh my.......I put them on repeat and listened to them day and night. One night I woke up and started to listen omg.....I got out of the bed and just started to pray I don't know how long I prayed but let me tell you the next day my husband got a phone call. They had an opening in West Sacramento store. Although he had to take a lower position but we have decided what ever it takes we are going back home. Some people say whats wrong with you you have a nice big house and your husband has a good job but all I could tell them is that is just stuff. At the end of the day stuff don't matter, but my children, my husband,
my marriage.....that is my precious treasures. When I think of everything we have been through in the past few years. I just say THANK YOU JESUS, for bringing us back home. I can truly say that I feel safe and at peace. This is HOME!!!!

My weightloss Journey

This is something that I have been battling with since I was a young girl. I always felt like I wasn't perfect, always felt insecure about my self.

Then, I meet the most wonderful man Troy my hero my love....I was 19, 5'2 and weight about 125 pounds. I guess you might say what's wrong with that???? Not me I was not happy with my weight. I managed to get to 105....Wow awesome! Well that didn't last very long we got pregnant with our first child and I gained about 50 pounds. After our first we had 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 ...........Now that we are done having babies I have decided to get into shape and take better care of my self. I want to be a happy healthy mommy and be a great example for my children. I have started going to the gym Sep 06, 2008. My start weight was 167 I went 5 days a week for 2 months and then came the holidays.....I hardly went at all maybe 6-8 times in 2 months. In January I started back up and my weight was 151 and I lost 13 inches total. I was very thankful that I didn't fall behind.....Thank You Jesus!!!! My goal is to be 105-110 by our 10Th Wedding Anniversary Nov 05......

Friend And Acquaintance

Well, I am a wife and a overwhelmed mother of 6 wonderful kids.Did I just say wonderful??? I meant little rascals.....:) You did sayyou want honest truth.
Let me introduce my self I am 30 year old,
stay at home, full-time mommy of 6. My Career of Mommy Hood started in 1998when we had our first beautiful little girl. It went like thisElizabeth 9, Nathan 8, Victoria 6, Preston 3, Giavanna 18 mo and lastbut not least out little 5 month old Ashton Luke. I absolutely lovemy children dearly. They are the best thing that ever happened to me,well besides meeting their father. Who is the most incredible lovinghusband and the greatest father that anyone would ever ask for. Is ourlife perfect? Far from perfect, but we do strive to be better parents.Or I should say better parent. At least that's what it feels like mostof the time. I don't want to bash on my husband, but most of time Ifeel so alone and just overwhelmed with my career choice. The reasonI call this my career and not a job. It's because I love it so muchand that's what I wanted to be when I grew up. A job is just 8-5 anda career is for a life time. It is very demanding of me. Where atthe end of the day I am just so exhausted that I can't even get minutefor my self because I rather get some sleep. As soon as I hit thatpillow I am done!!!! The lights go out.

When I saw the title "Searching for overwhelmed moms" I knew right then that I would definitely want to reply to this post. I am not proud to say this, but just being honest I am the Overwhelmed Mom of 6 kids. Even if I don't go on the show, but just to have the opportunity to get all my feelings and daily frustrations out. I hope people might listen to us "MOMS" and understand where we are all coming from.

These were some questions you had up on 5 min for momPerfect little questions. I just can't even believe that I answered them all. I just wounder how many more of these perfect little questions I could answer.

1. Have you been so busy that you've forgotten to do something that couldhave ended in tragedy? Perhaps you have made a mistake that's put yourchild in harm's way.

Oh did I ever forget..... the baby in her carseat, out in theparking lot. Believe it or not it was our first child too. I just wasto busy thinking, making sure, I bought everything that I needed. Put all of my stuff in the car and started to drive off when I turnedmy head, I realized that my baby wasn't in the car . She was still sittingin the parking lot on the ground. Thank God he had his Angels watchingover her and I didn't run her over.

2. Have you been so consumed with getting through your to-do list thatyou didn't notice a child wandered out of the house or camedangerously close to falling in a pool?

Over the fourth of July weekend
We had company, so there was people in and out the house. I was making breakfast for every one. We all sat down and ate. When I started to clean up after breakfast I realized that my 3 year old son wasn't at the breakfast table. So I started asking every one if they had seen him and of course no one has. We all start searching room by room. When he was no where to be found. I had just the most horrible feeling came over me that I won't be able to hold my baby again. I thought he ether drowned in neighbors pool or been ob ducted. When those thoughts went trough my mind I just start screaming. Every one started to run around outside and looking in neighbors pools. He was still was no where to be found. I mean we looked and looked. My last resort was to call one of our neighbors. I asked if Preston was there and I heard the most owesome words. Yes he is! OMG..........I just started to cry because I was so happy to hear that my baby was ok. I will never forget that day. The challenge and the reward of finding my son well and alive.

3. Have you accidentally left your child in the car at the store — ormomentarily forgotten that your child was in the car?

More than once.It is so easy to forget. Especially when they are little and soundasleep. Imagine, the whole time you are getting out of the car and thekids are screaming, yelling, arguing, crying and etc.... it is thebiggest distraction. How could you not forget. Your mind tries toblock everything and everyone out.

4. Do you feel like you're out of control, trying to balance everythingin your family, and scared of what could happen?

Yes, that is what I've been battling with lately.We were all sitting in the family room one evening. My husband was playing with the kids. They were having lot's of fun. I was just sitting there observing and enjoying my self. My oldest daughter approached me and said Mommy why don't you ever like to have fun with us, Daddy always does. I asked what she meant. She said all you do is yell all day and clean. Instead of having fun you make us clean too. I couldn't say another word. I was speechless. It was like someone just knocked me down. How do I balance EVERYTHING in my family so we could all be Happy. How do you find that PERFECT BALANCE? Do you let your house go filthy, or tell your husband you'll spend more time with him when you're retired (that's if he is still around) do you just play have fun and let everything go???? I just do not know how to get that Perfect Balance.

5. Are you sleep deprived or stretched to the point that you fear something awful couldhappen at a moment's notice?

Well, just few days ago my kids had pushed me. I was just to thepoint of the unthinkable (tie the kids up to the chairs and put a sock in their mouth). I quickly realized that I was on THE EDGE soI gave my-self time out. I locked my self in the bathroom and cried,cried, cried.......I cried because I let my self get that far. I wasashamed of my self. I felt like an unworthy good for nothing mother. Ifelt like I didn't even deserved my children and they deserve betterthat I could give them.

So at the end of the day:
The baby won't sleep. The kids won't listen. The house is a mess. Your husband wants to know what is for dinner. And the clock just won't stop.

You can't take this pace much longer.......... But what can you do?

This is my life…my choice......my career....MOMMY HOOD!

Just wanted every one to know Today is the day my Husband could start applying for store openings. I just pray that the right store will open up for us soon, so we don't have to move in the middle of winter. We did that last year. We moved into this house Dec 10th. Let me tell you what a pain it snowed the whole time......boy was it cold. So please keep us in your prayers.

Well, once again we had an open house today. Oh my, so much work I just can't wait till we sell our house. We have the Realtors do a walk through on Wednesday. I am just exhausted. School is just around the corner I just don't know.

By the way August 19th my Husband could start applying for a store. Please keep us in prayers that the right store would open up for us. I really don't want to move in winter time again. It's not fun, especially around here just think lot's of snow and cold...cold....cold weather.

Well, this morning i decided that today will be our picture day. The summer is almost over and I still have not took any good pics of my 6 kids. So that is my task for this day I hope to capture some good ones if not we will keep trying till I get the BEST shot for my canvas. I am a little worried since i no help but I will try to do my best. We will be going out about 4:30 pm.

Last year we went to Liberty park on the 4th of July. What I time we had. Let's just say I will never forget. It was cold and rained most of the day. We did have a big tent with us until the big storm hit and over 50 people that we did't know just ran into our tent and pushed us to the back. Other that that we had lot's of fun. We were checking out at the register, when a lady approached us. She asked if we would like to donate a dollar to children's miracle network. I could not refuse, so a handed the dollar to my daughter and she gave it to the lady. Then the lady gave her candy. Didn't think nothing of it, until we started walking out of the store and I noticed another both set up and the sign said donate a dollar and get ice cream bar. That's when it hit me.........what are we teaching our kids???? Why can't we just give and not get something in return. Why can't we give, out of the goodness of our heart, because we care about others, because God Blessed us with life. That's the greatest gift of all. Why wouldn't they give that candy to the kids, that they are raising the money for in the first place? Have you ever though about this, or am I the only one out there.

Today my little girl through a fit because I forgot to get cupcakes to take to school for her Birthday. How spoiled is that..........To me it is embarrassing......I am just really disappointed....We were not raised that way. I sure don't want to raise my kids that way. Why do they have to get paid for chores that we do or rewards for being good. WHAT VALUES ARE WE TEACHING OUR CHILDREN. Why do we always have to get something in return? Just the other day I asked my son to go and pick up his room. He asked me, what am I going to get for it? WOW..........WOW.........WOW.........it is all around us, we are all destroying our children and our future. Why not teach them great values like helping one another, when some one is in need be of good service. help to those who need help. Working as a team, a family team. Daddy work very hard and extremely long hours to support our family. Mommy works around the clock at home making sure every one is feed, clean, healthy, happy......In order to be a family every one need to work together and have responsibility's. What we put in our kids today, will reflect in our future tomorrow.

One of the things that I am thankful for is my Parent's and the Value of Giving Heart that they put in us. They not only talked about it, but every day they lived it. They gave their finances, time, afford, hard work. What they had they Gave. Now that we are all grown up we try to live up to that. It is in our hearts, in our blood, in our genes. It is very near and dear to me. I want to instill the Value of a Giving Heart to my children. It's a cycle that can't never be broken if you keep giving. Don't never stop Giving or get discouraged that you can't give. There is always something that you can give. If you stop giving you could break the cycle. Mom, Dad if you read this I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for setting a good example of a Giving Heart! I also want you to know that now matter what happens we will always be there for each other. I love you guys so much and miss you. You are my true heroes!

This issue is all around us. It's in our schools, in our grocery stores, in the department stores, out on the streets.........we cannot avoid it. So please teach your kids at Home the value of giving heart. It is more important to give than to receive.

I am not a fancy writer, or a great speaker, but I will tell you what I am good at or at least try to be, is Mommy. I am a proud Mother of 6 beautiful children. That's right 6! Elizabeth who is 9, Nathan 7, Victoria 6, Preaston 3, Giavanna 1 and our little one Ashton Luke who is one month old. Wow...........I got to make sure I didn't leave any one out. Ok I am all good. ;) Well Mommy Hood is HARD work lack of sleep, crying babies, morning rush, constant diaper change ( am I ever going to get out of that stage) bottles (beleive it or not we have a bottle search teams), Binky's, formula, Laundry (that little machine never stops working) all the home cooked meals he he heeee (Mc Donalds, Wendys, Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, Subway) ok, just kidding really....... you think with 6 little munchkins I could afford that........the gas alone could put me in the red. Ok getting back to hard work (my husband might reading this) He always tell me you only make it harder for your self. It doesn't have to be so hard ,just be on a schedule, stay organized and have a daily routine. How many of you have heard that over and over again......I tried but for me it does not work because of all the unexpected surprises I get in between my scheduled day. I do have a little routine not perfect but trying my best, We get up and my whole focus is to get the two oldest kids ready and of to school. Next I work on getting the little babies ready. Ok, Victoria is not a baby she says.........boy she sometimes acts like one. (she can't read yet;). It is alot of work getting all the little ones ready and feed them. Then to the play room we go............once i get them busy playing......I snack out to get my daily gear on tennis shoes, big T, and some comfy sweats, but my hair has to be perfect, just in case my husband shoes up......You get the pic.... I load the laundry run down stairs start on making lunch, go get all the kids feed them and we all go out side to wait for Victoria's school bus. Thank God they stop right in front of my house, God must of knew that I was going to live here way before I did. Thank You Jesus that helps me allot. Ok back to the routine.........then I try to put the two baby's down for a nap, while Preston has some alone time Destroying the toy room. I run down stair again and clean up lunch and start prep for dinner. I run back to check on kids and reload the laundry. Then I go around the rooms and make sure they are nice and tidy. Go down stairs check my bank account, make sure we are not in the red......he heh heee pay some bills, and get on ebay spend the remaining change........;) with out my husbands knowledge. By the time I am done the kids are also done napping so we go to the diaper changing station, we take care of business and then we get a snack and off the play room we go. Now I have to make sure I don't brake my legs or trip and fall, remember Preston was left in there to have some alone time.............Get them all settled in and of I go with the baby in one arm to check on dinner. I have few moments to enjoy my little one and there is the door bell.............Guess who?????????? Yep it's the Big Kids. Mom we're home,I'm hungry, mommy Nathan been bad today, mom Lizy hit me..........you get the picture. Ok I try to round up a snack and something to drink and it's home work time. God Bless our Teachers. Done with Home Work its dinner time....... Set the table... feed, feed, feed, Daddy's home, ok make him a plate. We then talk about our day, laugh and discipline, then cry. We clean up as a family and Mommy and the kids go up stairs, while Daddy get's some alone time and calls work making sure his store is not falling apart. Bath time oh my, Girls first, get them dressed braid hair. Now Boys, reload laundry while they are soaking in the garden tub. Give baby a bath and get all the boys ready for bed. Then we all go to the Destruction Zone other wise known as a toy room we try to rebuild and restore. Daddy comes up and tucks the kids in we say a prayer turn on our stories on tape and lights out. Then Mommy, Daddy and little Aston go into our suite Daddy plays with the baby, feeds him while mommy gets out of her gear and gets some space. When I get back from my space and get into theirs. We say a prayer read our Bibles, self help, power books and lights out. Good Night.........I love you...........aaaahhhhaaaaaaaahhhhhhh
